About us

Taking a sauna is something we love ourselves. It’s always a real pleasure to meet friends and acquaintances in a steaming hot sauna where shoulders are lowered, conversation flows and memories are made. We want to make this pleasure available to others.

After a long period of planning, research and construction, we opened the doors to Askøy’s first floating sauna in 2023.
The vision was clear: To create a social, accessible and healthy wellness experience for everyone.

In a short time, Fryd has become a well-known and popular meeting place for the local population. Here you can meet family and friends, go on a date, try a new activity with good colleagues and celebrate small and large events. The sauna in Strusshamn is also a destination for tourists and visitors, and has so far hosted adventurous guests from over 35 nations.

We are fully focused on offering the best sauna experiences to our guests and are continuously developing our concept.
During the fall of 2024, we will open another sauna on Askøy.

Welcome to the warmth!
